Clocks gone back: how to stay motivated and fit exercise into those shorter, darker days

So we may have all enjoyed an extra hour in bed last night but of course that means dark, cold and shorter days for the next 4 to 5 months (groan, yuck….).

Do you find it hard to motivate yourself to go to the gym, or do any exercise, when you leave the office and it’s still just as dark as it was when you woke up in the morning?

Is it too rainy and grey to even leave the office or go for your usual lunchtime walk? (Supermarket 2-for-1 microwavable soup for lunch again anyone!?)

…. if so Exercise in the City is here to help!

Why not organise a lunch-time or after work Pilates or fitness class at your London office? It’s easy to organise, low-cost and a great way to keep active during your working day.

Or you could get active without even leaving your house and organise your own Private Pilates sessions in the comfort and warmth of your own London home.

It’s normal to start feeling more tired and sluggish in winter but physical activity is a great way to help stay energised and motivated. Check out this great article from the NHS Choices website about Winter tiredness and some tips for boosting your energy levels.
