We supported DNEG’s staff Wellbeing week with activities to help staff get active during the week. As part of their activities for the week, we delivered our interactive Deskercise Workshop on day one. Giving staff tips to stay healthy whilst in the office and teaching exercises and stretches staff could practice at their desk through the day.
Day two, our lunchtime Pilates session strengthen, stretched and energised staff ready for the afternoon.
We finished off the week with our high intensity ‘Workplace to Workout’ Boot camp style class. An after-work class for staff to end the day, and head home from the office having had a great workout. No need to go to the gym!

Booking with Exercise in the City was seamless, once I had submitted my interest in booking some sessions for DNEG’s wellbeing week a call had been arranged. Julia was knowledgeable and really understood what we wanted to achieve, and suggested classes that I hadn’t considered which worked really well. We’ve been bringing lunch break Pilates and Yoga classes to Pivotal for over seven months. Staff tell us how much they enjoy the classes and value the break from their computers.
We’ve been teaching weekly Pilates classes for staff at Girlguiding head office in London since 2012… over four years! It’s been so great to watch staff strengthen and improve so much.
Catherine joined classes from the beginning and is now a Pilates-pro!…
“I can’t express strongly enough how good it is to be able to take 45 minutes out of a working week to do Pilates with Julia. Everyone knows sitting at a computer all day isn’t the best position to be in but we go back to our desks energised and ready to take on the next challenge. Julia comes to our work and we use one of the bigger meeting rooms with desks pushed to the side.
Prices for Pilates classes are normally so prohibitively high Exercise in the City is good value, and it’s a massive bonus to have Julia come to us so it’s not a stress or bother getting to a gym or other venue.” Catherine – Girlguiding head office
Our Pilates class has proved to be so popular with staff we often have to add an additional class during the week to meet demand.
Classes are organised by staff themselves and take place in either a meeting room or in the kitchen area with chairs stacked and tables pushed aside. Continue reading →
What a great day we had for National Fitness Day this week
We were on a mission to get London office workers active… and that we did!
We taught workplace Pilates and Yoga classes at office across London including; The British Council, Girlguiding, graze and Transport for London (TfL). We helped get people away from their desks for their lunch break, or at the end of the day.
We were delighted to support Teach First’swellbeing day last week for employees at their London office.
The day kicked off with taster exercise classes for staff. An hour’s Pilates session followed by a high intensity Abs Blast half hour!
The afternoon was a little more relaxing with the lovely Lisabetta and Fabio giving back and shoulder chair massages for staff to enjoy.
