Get away from your desk this lunch time and take a walk! May is National Walking Month and charity Living Streets’ are encouraging the nation to get active and try to walk at least 20 minutes a day.
Check out the National Walking Month website for some great tips to help you fit walking into your working day. Here are a few to get you started!
Walk to or from work You might not be able to walk the whole way but you can skip a bus stop or get off the tube a few stops early to add in your 20 mins walking. Check out TFL’s handy tube map with walking times between tube stations.
Try a walking meeting Get some fresh air and a change of scenery, boost your energy and productivity. We’ve seen some sunny days this month, so take advantage!
Pledge to ‘Try20’ It’s not too late to join thousands of others who have pledged to try and walk more this May (and hopefully continue to do so!). Living Streets are offering free tips and advice to those who make the pledge.
